Private eye here. The professor and I are leaving. We’re sad to miss you for all these months, and we’ll be back before spring’s warmed California enough to go camping again. It hit me just today that we are going on a 100-day adventure to balmy climes with wonderful food and culture, and I can’t wipe this smile off my face. One of my lawyer buds said I’m glowing. There’s so much trouble in the world, but today I’m really happy that something we worked and saved for is about to happen.
